Classical Recitals Print E-mail
...the playing had great delicacy and poise... beautifully executed... considerable range of tone colours. The advanced techniques required in the flute part were managed successfully and both players conveyed the spirit of the piece and their own enjoyment of it.
- Pan, (The British Flute Society Magazine).

Anne Allen & Christopher Taylor Anne Allen has performed recitals for many concert societies and private gatherings, including performances with Katherine Jenkins, Hayley Westenra, Roger Vignoles and Christopher Taylor. These usually take the form of flute and piano duo recitals but Anne performs with various chamber groups that play a wide range of repertoire in many locations and take great pleasure in tailoring each recital to the requirements of each booking.

This was the best concert I ever heard in this house" was stated independently by two members who have been coming for more than 30 years. Thankyou Anne and Chris.
- Udo Bauer, Secretary, Schubert Society of Britain.

Repertoire
Anne has an extensive repertoire list available and will happily include any requests. The music is chosen with consideration of the audience and is therefore tailored to each individual booking. The wide repertoire Anne provides spans light classics, popular music and more formal repertoire. A more recent venture of Anne's is providing themed evenings of entertainment, for example an evening of French Favourites, with food and wine to match! A full repertoire list and demo recordings are available on request and can be listened to if you click here.

A brilliant display of technique and musicianship...theirs is a duo par excellence... They communicated the love of the music so readily.

Anthony Pither - Concerts in the West review 2008

Anne is proud to introduce her guitarist in The Ancora Duo.

Mitch Dalton.
Although he has performed at many major festivals and with almost all of the premier British Orchestras, he is also acknowledged as one of the most in-demand studio musicians in the UK. His credits are as varied as they are extensive. Number 1 hit singles like "Somethin' Stupid" [Robbie Williams], Hollywood movie soundtracks such as the Bond films, "Big Fish", "Hot Fuzz" etc. and TV shows like "Stars In Their Eyes, "Soapstar Superstar", "The Blue Planet"/"Planet Earth", "Doc Martin" and "Midsomer Murders" represent just a few examples of Mitch's busy schedule. Memorable highlights in the world of Jazz include recordings and concerts with Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, Henry Mancini, Michel Legrand and Nelson Riddle and The BBC Big Band. Mitch has also recently recorded two albums with European star violinist Tim Kliphuis - "The Grappelli Tribute" [2006] and "Swingin' Through The Classics", released in May 2007. In the world of the Theatre, Mitch was personally selected by Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson of Abba for the London production of "Chess". Other credits are too numerous to mention. The fact is - if you're listening to the TV or Radio, visiting a Theatre or Concert Hall or going to the Movies - chances are that you've heard Mitch today!
